UVA’s Prof. T. Brent Gunnoe named GEQO Fellow and UVA Top 25 Faculty Sponsored Research Funding Recipient

The Spanish Royal Society of Chemistry has named University of Virginia chemist T. Brent Gunnoe as a GEQO Fellow for 2024. The Organometallic Chemistry Group of the Spanish Royal Society of Chemistry (GEQO) recognizes outstanding researchers whose work has significantly contributed to the development of organometallic chemistry research in Spain. A Commonwealth Professor in the College and Graduate School of Arts & Sciences, Gunnoe is part of the inaugural recipients for this honor. His work focuses on the synthesis of novel transition metal complex catalysts with potential applications for energy production and synthesis of large-scale chemicals. In addition to this award, Prof. Gunnoe was named one of the UVA Top 25 Faculty Sponsored Research Funding Recipients. This recognition recognizes the significant contributions of the postdoctoral, graduate and undergraduate students in his group.
